Mesa Arch |
Nature photographers are a strange bunch. Who else would think it exciting to get up at around 3:30 AM on a chilly March morning, pick up a coffee at a local gas station, drive almost an hour, find one's way to the shooting location by flashlight, set up and patiently wait for the sun to rise in the distant horizon to capture the sun reflecting from the canyon below to the underside of an arch that's no more than twenty-five feet long? To a nature photographer, it's not only exciting but we have a mission as well; to show the natural world in all its splendor and to promote the idea of stewardship. The need for all of us to protect this very special and delicate environment. The images on this website represent my personal interpretation of that environment. I certainly don't claim exclusivity for any particular location (this one of Mesa Arch is one of tens of thousands) but through the world of digital capture and processing, I - rather than the photo lab - can render the final image to reflect my vision. From that viewpoint, the final result is uniquely mine. Information for purchasing is found on the Orders/Pricing page. In addition to various sized prints, you can order blank note cards which make great - and inexpensive - gifts. So, have a look around and thanks for dropping by. George Theodore |
